Sedation Dentistry

Don’t let your nerves get in the way of your oral health! Sedation dentistry is a mild medication called Nitrous Oxide, often referred to as Laughing Gas, which helps patients to relax before they undergo a treatment. You will breathe the nitrous Oxide though a mask which is attached to the nose, it takes just a few minutes to notice the effects and people often describe the feeling as being happy, relaxed, disconnected from what is happening and unconcerned. Once the procedure is finished and you stop breathing the gas, all effects will have totally worn off after around 5 minutes, you will even be able to drive yourself home!

Nitrous Oxide is particularly useful and commonly used during pediatric procedures. It is safe to use in children and will blow away any nerves or anxiousness.
